We are currently seeking a professional full-time Class G or D Driver&Furniture Installer to join our furniture delivery and installation team.
Responsibilities:
-Ensure a high-quality customer service experience during the furniture delivery process. Pack, load, and deliver furniture using a 26’ truck.
-Physical fitness and capability to lift heavy objects ranging from 25 kg to 50 kg is required.
-Maintain a positive attitude and friendly demeanor while communicating effectively with customers from diverse backgrounds.
-Represent the company in a professional manner at all times.
-Previous experience in household moving or furniture delivery is preferred but not mandatory.
Key Duties Include:
-Have a 3+ years of driving experience in Canada is a must
-Drive a 26' straight truck
-Hold a Full G or D license with a clean record and up-to-date CVOR abstract.
-Engage appropriately and interact with customers.
-Safely load customers' belongings onto the truck.
-Transport heavy items up and down stairs over extended distances.
-Prepare furniture and equipment for delivery by wrapping in blankets or using shrink wrap.
-Utilize basic tools as needed.
-Disassemble and reassemble furniture and equipment as required.
-Maintain a positive attitude, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
-Possess a clean criminal record. Be available to work extended hours from Tuesday to Saturday.
-Be able to speak English.
Compensation:
-Wage is $23-$26 per hour, depending on the experience
-Tips earned are retained by the employee.
