The Pet Stop has been providing high quality veterinary care to Alaska since 1985, and we are currently looking for a licensed or experienced Veterinary Technician to join our exceptional team.
We cater to the needs of dogs, cats, birds, exotics and even a few zoo animals. We have a wide variety of diagnostic equipment including an in house Idexx lab, digital radiography, digital dental radiography, ultrasound and endoscopy to help us better serve our clients. Our dedicated knowledgeable technicians are the heart of our busy 5 doctor practice. This position will allow an excellent opportunity to challenge yourself and to utilize your skills.
Duties include, but are not limited to, communicating well with clients and staff, reviewing, understanding and applying medical history, proper animal restraint, venipuncture, calculations, administration and monitoring of anesthesia, surgical prep, in house lab work and taking radiographs with proper techniques, filling prescriptions, and overall hospitalized patient care and documentation.
We are looking to find a qualified technician with an enthusiastic and positive attitude who is able to take initiative and has a willingness to share ideas. You have the schedule option consisting of four 10 hour days or five 8 hours days allowing you to have plenty of time to enjoy beautiful Alaska in your off time. Many benefits included.
