POSITION SUMMARY
Perform inspections and quality assurance testing for analysis of materials, in process, and finished products. Uses knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform functions of the job. Works under general supervision.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITES
Performs and processes inspections on finished product. Conducts in-process welding, assembly, function, and laser mark inspections. Performs incoming inspections. Assists in training new hires. Training is not a job-specific duty to any one person. Provides guidance to cleaning and packaging on visual acceptability.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Knowledge of the company quality system, as well as contractual quality requirements, which vary from customer to customer. Automated inspection equipment experience preferred. Ability and knowledge of use with optical comparators, calipers, micrometers, height stands, radius gages, etc. as well as computers preferred. Experience in a manufacturing facility preferred. Detail oriented with large emphasis on accuracy/efficiency. Able to multi-task; good communication skills. Knowledge of ISO-13485, GD&T, and blueprint reading. Able to work under general supervision and follow instructions. Ability to work overtime and extended work hours required.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent. 5 years minimum experience in the field or related field preferred.
