As a traveling electrician, you work to install electrical, lighting, EV and solar equipment and systems according to the safety codes dictated by the state in which you are working. Your responsibilities may require you to inspect existing wiring for problems and perform repairs. Work performed on all shifts any day of the week. Must be flexible and willing to travel ANYWHERE in the USA. Always home for extended breaks Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year’s – other holidays may or may not be off depending on client schedules.
ELECTRICIAN JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
*Repair and replace wiring.
*Read blueprints and schematics.
*Document repairs and modifications.
*Ability to trouble shoot EV chargers, lighting, electrical runs.
*Install LED lighting.
*Work at heights up to 45’.
*Manage and mentor apprentice electricians.
*Work with architects, contractors, and clients.
*Diagnose and address functionality and safety issues.
*Install indoor and outdoor electrical control, wiring and lighting systems.
*Inspect and test electrical systems, including fuses, transformers and circuit breakers.
*Stay apprised of revisions to National Electric Code (NEC) and other relevant legislation, building and safety regulations.
ELECTRICIAN QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:
*Ability to run conduit.
*Ability to install lights and dimming systems.
*Working knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
*Communications skills, ability to interact with other skilled trade professionals, designers, and clients.
*Knowledge of National Electric Code, state and local building codes.
*Knowledge of energy-efficient equipment and products.
*Use of testing equipment and hand tools.
*Ability to work well individually and as part of a team.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & LICENSING REQUIREMENTS:
*Up-to-date electrician’s license preferred not mandatory.
*OSHA 10- or 30-Hour Training and Safety.
*2-3 years residential, commercial or industrial electrical experience.
*Experience working on all types of projects from new to renovations.
*Associate's degree in electrical technology preferred.
*First aid certification.
*High school diploma or GED.
*Valid USA Driver’s license.
*Drug-free
