Sonco Pipe and Tube is looking to hire an experienced Machine operator. To operate a variety of equipment in a production style shop requires a hardworking, goal oriented individual who can complete tasks and projects with precision, accuracy and efficiency safely.
Below is a list of equipment.
Band saw 18”.
Cold saw. Manual.
Cold saw. Semi auto.
Threading Machine.
Swaging Machine.
Drill press.
Wood Miter saw.
You need not be experienced at all the above as training will be provided as we move along. Preferably band saw experience and some mechanical ability. Duties include heavy lifting and pushing, driving a forklift to load and unload equipment and often loading material on a Customer or company truck. Banding material together to prep for cutting, Boxing. Small materials or palletizing and bundling material. All while performing regular maintenance of the equipment and cleaning as required to maintain a safe working environment. This is a fast paced job that often requires changing, material in the middle of the job. The material being worked is steel tubing, stainless steel pipe and carbon steel pipe of all different diameters and thickness. This is a full time position with some overtime required occasionally. You will be working in a heated area and in the elements both. You may be asked to clean and sweep floors and shovel snow.
