As a Commercial Plumber, your responsibilities include working with plumbing equipment and interpreting blueprints to assemble, repair, and install plumbing fixtures, piping, and perform various plumbing tasks.
Your duties encompass:
Understanding specifications and blueprints for job completion.
Installing plumbing equipment and piping at the job site.
Ensuring you have all the necessary materials, equipment, and tools for the project.
Adhering to company policies and enforcing safety regulations.
Adhering to schedules and reporting to job sites punctually.
Resolving work-related issues with any assigned Helpers.
Maintaining accurate time records.
Minimum requirements include:
Preferred certification in Med Gas.
A minimum of three years of experience in commercial plumbing.
Proficiency in shop math, tools, metals, and machines.
Ability to interpret three-dimensional objects from drawings or blueprints.
Working within precise standards.
Appropriate journeyman experience.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Capability to follow Planning Calendars.
Flexibility to perform various duties as required.
Evaluating performance using measurable standards.
Safety Awareness:
B & I Contractors, Inc. places a high priority on safety for all positions. This role may involve the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for specific tasks. It's the responsibility of the incumbent to ensure they have the required safety equipment, adhere to safety protocols outlined in the Safety Handbook, and use the equipment when performing their duties.
Physical Requirements:
Good vision, with or without correction.
Clear hearing and communication with professional language skills.
Full use of hands, fingers, arms, and legs.
Ability to kneel, crouch, crawl, climb, balance on ladders and scaffolds, climb stairs, reach overhead, push, pull, and lift.
Capability to lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds or more with assistance.
