Job Summary: Performs various tasks in a landfill including containing loose refuse to prevent scattering and directing traffic at the landfill.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other minor duties may be assigned.
· Manually picks up windblown paper from the periphery of the landfill. Carries a large plastic trash bag and walks along the fenced border of the landfill, as well as on exterior land adjacent to the public property. Pulls paper from the fence and lifts loose paper from the ground, depositing refuse in the bag until full.
· Seeking workers willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions (extreme heat/cold, rain, wind, and muddy conditions). Cleaning landfill/fence line/roadway area of all debris (paper, plastic, metal, and misc. recyclables)
· Need steel-toe boots
· Dress for the weather (coveralls, thermal long johns’ pants and top, raincoat, etc...)
Landfill Laborer
1st Shift Monday - Friday 7:00 am - 4:30 pm
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
