We are looking for a boat captain to operate our sea cave tours in the Apostle Islands in Bayfield, Wiscsonsin. The position is available June 1st and lasts until October 8th but our peak season is July 7th through September 4th. You must be available full-time, from July 7th to September 4th, to be considered for the position. We have property 2 miles from where the tours launch where you can stay for free. There is no running water but there is a generator, and a camper you can stay in while you are working.
BOAT CAPTAIN POSITION
The pay is dependent upon how many tours are completed, but the captains get 25% of each tour with a maximum take-home pay of $500/ day if all 4 tours are full. We cover all expenses and overhead. Tours are done from 20' boats so we are able to go inside the sea caves. This will require good eyesight and driving skills. The tours are 2 hr long and 8 miles, and we have 4 tours available per day (10 am, 1 pm, 4 pm, and 6:30 pm). We charge $80 for adults and $64 for less than 18.
Must have a USCG captain license
Must have Great Lakes endorsement by July 8th
Must have TWIC card
Must be registered with drug consortium
Must be available at least July 7th through September 4th, however, the position is available June 1st through October 8th.
