The mayor of Odessa, Gennady Trukhanov, during a briefing told representatives of foreign media about the current situation in the city.
The mayor of Odessa said that the armed forces of the Russian Federation are moving towards the border of the unrecognized Transnistrian Moldavian Republic (PMR) in order to encircle the city. “Today, Odessa continues to prepare for a possible invasion by the aggressor, and thanks to our cities of Kherson and Nikolaev, in which fighting is now underway, Odessa has the opportunity to more thoroughly prepare for its defense.
According to the information that we have today, the ships that were stationed near Odessa were relocated to the Crimean region. A separate grouping of the aggressor advanced to Voznesensk... We assume that the aggressor plans to take our city, going through Voznesensk to Transnistria. Thus, the city will be surrounded,” Trukhanov said.
