COMPUTER GAME DESIGN
LOCATION: CRC • AGE: 9–15 YEARS
Ever wish your kids would do more with the computer than just sit
and play video games? If they like computers, this is the class for them!
Each student is provided with a laptop computer for use during class.
Specially-designed software with a graphical programming language is
used so children can easily create multimedia computer games and
animations with custom background settings, characters, animated
movements, sound effects, and more! At the conclusion of the session,
students take home a USB drive to store the game design software and
games they made but do not take the computer home.
LEGO ROBOTICS AND ENGINEERING
SUMMER CAMP
LOCATION: CRC • AGE: 6–14 YEARS
Chasewood Learning’s LEGO Robotics and Engineering
academies combine to give children an entire week of robotics
and engineering experiences.
Chasewood Learning’s teacher-led instruction focuses on activities
for all levels designed with a creative educational approach that
supports Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM).
Many of the topics learned can be applied to the upcoming robotic
competition season. Children are grouped by age and experience.
At the end of the session, students are given a graduation certificate
and gift. Bring a snack.
