I want somebody's opinion on the following: had interview on i 751 ,me n my wife were separated by the officer--answered all the questions identically; lawyer was there as well. at the end of the interview officer said she needs to get a few more papers n the decision will be made; put the stamp to the passport for a year... What do you think? Is it bad? any experience?

If the officer said that the decision will be made pending receipt of papers, I think it only means they will approve once they have the papers. It happened in my case, and some other people I know. Like, you did not bring something to interview and they have to have it just to comply with their regulations. Sometimes it's another affadavit of support, sometimes it is a birth certificate, or whatever else. If that's what it is, send them the papers and wait for GC in the mail within 3 months. What did the lawyer said, was everything ok?

Yea he said everything was great we wait about 45 days n he ll contact them again. I was just shocked that they separated us--we submitted sooo much evidence.
Do you think if they gave me a year stamp its a good sign? The lawyer told me that from his experience when they wanna deny somebody they won't give a year stamp...I am just worried so much that't why ask other opinion

It actually looks ok. I was asked to send a paper and the officer did not stamp my passport at all. I actually never had a stamp at all. So I was worried. But once we sent the paper, the GC arrived in the mail in 2 months. So just make sure the paper is sent in (usually they give you 30 days) in time and your lawyer is on top of it.
What were the papers to be submitted?

it was a police clearance report because case was pending for a few years-the fingerprints are old. Did you have i-751 interview? were u interviewed separately?

My interview was 7 years ago, so I don't remember details and probably things have changed as far as procedures. But I think you should stop worrying, of course they have to have clearance to close the file. Looks like a formality. Just make sure it's all sent in on time.
