Chudo, Cetified prewoned Toyota comes with full warranty till 100000 miles, not just powertrain. Also since you bought your toyota, it has been 3-5-5 years, the price went up a bit

6, 2006 04:51pm MrZ - 6400 d back

Позволю себе не согласиться с Чудо."Certified pre-owned" warranty was developed by Japanese folks to stimulate dealers to "unload" 3-4 years cars coming from lease. It is not the same as GM Limited 100K warranty or Hyundai warranty. Let us not put all eggs in one basket. It is a very different approach to people and cars between Chevrolet and Lexus. I cannot speak for Toyota, Lexus changes switches on certified pre-owned on one little mumble. So does BMW. They, for instance, also cannot certify the car which has been in accident (any kind of). Krasotka, you made a correct decision! Plus the car has 2 years of original bumper to bumper!

Привет!Случайно наткнулся на этот сайт.Я из Украины.Хочу купить Лексус ЕС-350,но он идет только на Америку,а к нам завозят малыми партиями.Если кто сталкивался ,стоит ли ее брать?
Чт, Янв 25, 2007 09:33am mrz - 6320 d back

SmartGuide Tips For Buying Your Next Car:

Factory Invoice Facts:
The factory invoice lists the base model of the car and all option packages, floor mats, body trims, etc. It also lists destination charge, holdback and dealer flooring assistance. Destination charge is not refundable, you pay the dealer and the dealer, in turn, pays the factory. Don't believe the "invoice" the dealer tears off the printer, it's no invoice. You are looking for the actual invoice with the auto maker's logo on it and the dealer's address for delivery. Don't confuse the "invoice" with the white MSRP window sticker!

How much did the dealer really pay for that car? The dealer gets the holdback (Often a 3% to 5% "holdback" is added into the manufacturer's invoice and is paid to the dealer upon sale of the vehicle, in addition to sales incentives) and floor plan back from the factory after they sell the car, so have them remove it. There are hidden factory incentives built into the dealer "invoice price" that reduce the actual vehicle cost to the dealer. Beware of dealers who offer to show you the invoice too quickly as you know they are most likely making profits off kickbacks and dealer incentives.

Tricks, Scams, Hidden Fees and Extras:
Hidden fees and add-ons are an easy way for the dealership salesperson to increase their profit by hundreds or even thousands! It’s important to locate any hidden fees or add-ons before signing a new car contract. Be sure to ask the dealership salesperson what the “out-the-door” price is when entering into the negotiating process. At some dealerships, the "out-the-door" costs are abbreviated as "TT&L" or tax, title and license which indicates that, in addition to the price of the vehicle, you typically have to pay State and Local Sales tax, Department of Motor Vehicles fees as well as a dealership “documentation fee”. This “documentation fee” is one of the dealer’s favorite places to hide increased fees. Charged for the administrative costs of preparing documents for the vehicle’s sale, this fee should average $100. Unfortunately, dishonest dealers attempt to increase their profit by slipping in “documentation fees” that can total $1000! In order to protect you from falling victim to this scam, we warn you to be wary of any dealer who is vague in offering up the actual amount of the “documentation fee”.

Aside from the Tax, Title and License Fees, dealers often try to sell you expensive vehicle extras. They lure customers in by stating it will only increase car payment amounts by a few dollars. Upon closer inspection, we found that not only are dealers marking up these services and products 20%-100% over the price aftermarket shops charge but they are often times unnecessary!!!

Financing, Incentives and Rebates:
Dealers make a great portion of their profit off of financing vehicles! In order to secure the best deal on your new vehicle it’s crucial to obtain Vehicle Financing from a lender BEFORE you head to the dealership. Being pre-approved turns you into a cash buyer in the dealer’s eyes and removes the need to deal with a dealership’s financing department. The best way to avoid paying extra for your new car is to use an online auto loan shopping service. SmartCarPrices has partnered with several of the top online auto lenders in the industry to ensure you receive the best interest rate on your next Auto Loan. Our online service submits your auto loan application to our affiliated and accredited banks who will aggressively compete for your business by supplying the lowest rates available. Use our online lenders to receive the interest rate you deserve without hidden costs!

If you opt to finance your new vehicle through a dealership or manufacturer, be prepared to pay an interest rate that is as much as 3% higher than the interest rate for which you qualify. Called finance-charge markup, dealerships and salespeople can add anywhere from one to three percentage points to the lenders offered interest rate! You may not even know that these charges are being added because by law, dealerships do not have to disclose hidden finance-charge markups! Dealer salespeople often consider the mark-up an inconvenience fee for assisting you in locating financing. In the end, dealers are dually compensated, once with a “finder’s fee” charged to lending institutions and the other from adding additional points to your vehicle loan. The profit off finance charge mark-ups alone can be up to 1% of the total loan amount. Don’t you think this is money that should remain in your pocket? Let SmartCarPrices network of nationally Accredited Lenders work to save you money!

It is also very important that you are aware of what rebates and incentives are available to you before you step foot in the dealership. Often times the small print in dealer advertising states "all rebates to dealer." It is important for you to know what those are so you can negotiate intelligently with the dealer. Many cars today have rebates in the $1000s, if you know this going in you are more likely to get a great price on your new car.
