FULLBAY TRUCK SERVICE INC is seeking an experienced Shop Foreman (Diesel Repair) for a working foreman role. This position requires hands-on diesel repair experience in addition to supervising daily shop operations. This is not a desk-only position—the foreman must be able to diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy-duty trucks while leading the shop team.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise diesel technicians and manage daily shop workflow

Assign, prioritize, and track repair and preventive maintenance jobs

Perform diesel mechanic work as needed to support shop productivity

Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and emissions-related issues

Ensure all repairs meet OEM, company, and DOT standards

Maintain shop safety, cleanliness, and compliance

Coordinate parts ordering and minimize equipment downtime

Train, mentor, and hold technicians accountable for quality and performance

Required Qualifications

Minimum 2+ years of hands-on diesel repair experience

Previous experience as a Shop Foreman, Lead Mechanic, or Supervisor (preferred)

Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills on heavy-duty trucks

Working knowledge of DOT regulations and preventive maintenance programs

Ability to step in and complete mechanic jobs during peak workload periods

Dependable, organized, and able to lead by example

Preferred Qualifications

Fleet maintenance experience

Experience with Cummins, Detroit, and PACCAR engines

Familiarity with OEM diagnostic software

ASE Certifications (preferred, not required)
