Nomad Freight is seeking an Entry-Level Safety Specialist to join our growing team in South Elgin, IL.
This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to build a career in the trucking industry and learn DOT compliance and safety operations.
Responsibilities:
• Review and analyze MVR (Motor Vehicle Records)
• Review PSP reports
• Process FMCSA Clearinghouse checks
• Assist with driver qualification files
• Maintain compliance documentation
• Work with PDF documents and digital records
• Communicate with drivers regarding safety requirements
• Support internal safety procedures
Requirements:
• Strong communication skills
• Basic knowledge of MVR, PSP, and Clearinghouse (preferred but not required)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Ability to work with Word and PDF documents
• Attention to detail
• Ability to work in an office environment
