Growing Diesel Semi Truck and Trailer Shop in Portage, IN 46368 in search of a Shop Manager.
We are well established company Semi-Truck Repair Shop in North West Indiana located Portage, IN and we are looking for the SHOP MANAGER to join our team. Our goal is to focus on company-owned trucks and trailers maintenance and to make sure we keep our equipment in the best shape and get our mechanics busy.
As a Diesel shop manager, you would oversee day to day operations of a diesel maintenance shop. Supervises, train and coordinate work of mechanics and parts personnel. Ensures proper accounting of inventory, tools, parts and equipment. Ensures all preventative maintenance meet quality and safety standards. Responsible for invoicing, reporting, profit and loss performance of the shop.
DUTIES:
-- Daily Yard Check.
-- Plan and Organize effective work day.
-- Assign Work to Technicians.
-- Process Repair Requests and create Service Orders.
-- Enter orders into Full Bay / Mitchell Software.
-- Review Finished Orders and Create Invoices.
-- Helping and motivating personnel.
-- Create and analyze profit and loss reports for the shop.
REQUIREMENTS:
-- Experience as a Diesel Shop Supervisor or fixing Semi's as a heavy diesel mechanic
-- At least 2 years in a Familiar Industry dealing with Parts, Vendors and operations.
-- Knowledge of Semi Invoicing and Billing. Big plus is a Full Bay and Mitchell software knowledge.
-- Knowledge of Basic Accounting to ensure shops financials kept in order.
-- Must be goal oriented friendly, be professional, punctual, and dependable.
-- Must have a valid driver license. CDL is not required but Big plus if have one.
Hours: Mon - Fri 8am -5pm. Overtime is available on weekends.
This is a full-time W2 position with Direct Deposit every week with Salary: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
