Responsibilities:
Creating estimates, invoices, and appointments for walk-in customers, dealer customers, and phone leads. Greeting customers and effectively coordinating repairs to meet their expectations while maintaining strong relationships. Communicating with shop technicians / mechanics to identify repair solutions and accurate repair descriptions. Ordering parts, working with vendors, and coordinating repairs to provide an easy and transparent service. Maintaining an organized and efficient shop flow by effectively communicating with other team members. Accommodate customer needs by using prior knowledge to effectively recommend services, maintenance requirements, etc. Maintain customer organization while simultaneously handling assigned tasks and rolls. Handle dealer accounts and services related to those accounts. Requirements:
MUST HAVE at least 2 years of overall automotive service advisor experience. Must have prior knowledge within the automotive field to accurately inform customers of repairs. Must be proficient with computers / ALLDATA / internal repair resources. Strong multi-tasking abilities; Our store is high volume and offers full service mechanic work resulting in numerous RO's to manage day-to-day. Automotive hobbyists preferred; We do a lot of custom and aftermarket work; Being an enthusiast only brings more value to each sale. Must have excellent customer service skills. Must have a clean, professional presentation. Strong sales / personable retail experience preferred. Self-motivated, organized and driven to succeed. Bi-langual (Spanish, Ukrainian, Polish) strongly preferred.
To be a successful service advisor, you should have excellent customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills. You should also have a strong understanding of automotive technology and of the automotive industry.
