My name is Mike. I have been working in logistics/carrier-side for 5 years. I started as a dispatcher for a little over 1 year, then worked as After-Hours dispatch/operations where I was doing everything needed during after-hours (dispatch, breakdowns, operations, driver retention, etc).
Then I worked as the Fleet Manager and Operations Manager in a company with 700+ trucks. Besides managing the whole Fleet and Operations departments, I was on top of the Safety department to ensure a good Fleet-Safety relationship and I was constantly in touch with the Accounting department and the CFO for the Operations-Accounting relationship. My tasks were to do anything possible in order to fix EVERY single issue there was. My main tasks were: Fleet management, Operations, breakdowns, Documentation, Excel spreadsheets, Driver Retention, and so on.
