Vernon Hills located hazmat transportation company is looking for a responsible and skilled dispatcher to join our team and keep our fleet moving.
Key Responsibilities:
• Schedule and coordinate shipments across regional and national routes
• Communicate with drivers, customers, and terminal staff to ensure timely pickups and deliveries
• Manage real-time tracking, route optimization, and emergency response coordination if necessary
• Maintain accurate dispatch records and generate required documentation
• Work collaboratively with safety and operations.
Requirements:
• Minimum 2 years of dispatching experience (hazmat or tanker trucking preferred)
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple moving parts
• Proficient in dispatch software and GPS tracking systems
• Bilingual is a plus.
