Navteq's map for Taste of Chicago serves up many choices

Navteq, the Chicago-based digital map-maker, launched an interactive online map for the Taste of Chicago that offers a three-dimensional view of the event, as well as menus and information on daily events.
The map is available at http://map.mapnetwork.com/event/tasteofchicago or by clicking a link on the event's Web site at www .tasteofchicago.us.
Users can see the layout of Taste of Chicago and mouse over individual restaurant stalls to learn the identity of the vendor. Clicking on the stall calls up a separate window that lists that restaurant's menu. The map also highlights the locations of restrooms, souvenir stands and places to buy tickets.
A left-hand rail gives users the options of searching the Taste of Chicago's schedule for specific events by name or type, then seeing on the map where those venues are located. There is also information about hotels and other local attractions for out-of-town visitors.
