Academy Award winner Philip Seymour Hoffman was found dead in his New York City apartment on Sunday. He was 46.
The New York City Police Department have confirmed to "The Insider With Yahoo" that the actor was found dead at 12 p.m. ET in his apartment in the West Village of New York City.

The official cause of death is still unknown at this point, however, the police confirm to "The Insider With Yahoo" that he may have died of a suspected overdose, as he was found with a needle in his arm. Police also confirm that apparent heroin was found at the scene. Playwright David Katz is believed to be the one that found him at the apartment. The New York Medical Examiner confirms that they do not have the body yet, but once they do, the examination will be tomorrow.

Oh no! He is one of my favorite actors. I was watching "Doubt" for the 2nd time and admired his acting two days ago. I can't believe it.
