Planning to go to college next September. It's been already 7 years since finished college (in Russia. I've always hated math, but here will need to pass a placement test. Can anyone recommend me a good textbook that would cover basics of algebra, geometry and some trigonometry? Thanx a lot!

I had the same problem couple of months ago. I used this book, it's pretty good http://www.amazon.com/Math-Review-Standardized-Tests-Cliffs/dp/0822020335/ref=pd_sim_b_1 Deerfield public library has it, I called my local library in Vernon Hills and they asked loaner from Deerfield.

Not sure if you can open link, the book is called Math Review for Standardized Tests (Cliff's Test Prep), author Jerry Bobrow Ph.D.
