Unfortunately, there is no best dessert in NW suburb. I found a few that looks nice, but taste awful. Are you looking for torte, cakes, or other pastries? Le Chocolat du Bouchard (in Naperville) has some fancy looking desert, but not everything taste good. Actually cakes are pretty good there, but not great. Tortes and chocolates are expensive and not even mediocre.

Thanks. Just looking to take my wife somewhere for Valentines day. Sick of machine made desserts.

Not sure about suburbs but fondu places in Chicago have great dessert with hot chocolate and fruit platter and results are really yummy. Quite entertaining Vday dessert!
